At The Picnic Basket, our mission is simple: to provide convenient, chef-prepared meals made with quality ingredients at an affordable price. We understand that today's families often struggle to find enough time to prepare home-cooked meals, so we've created a solution that makes enjoying great food easy.

We like to call ourselves a Meal Market. Imagine a grocery store where everything has already been washed, chopped, prepared, and cooked into a delicious meal. All that's left for you to do is heat and enjoy. The difference? Every meal is crafted by a local chef using fresh ingredients and culinary expertise.

Our meals are sold in two-serving portions, allowing you to mix and match selections based on the size of your household or your appetite. Because we focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and listen closely to customer requests, our offerings change daily. As a market—not a traditional restaurant—we do not maintain a fixed menu. Instead, our daily selections are posted here on our website and shared through our social media channels.

The Picnic Basket is proudly owned and operated by two lifelong Oconee County natives. Our chef is a 2005 graduate of Le Cordon Bleu and has spent her career working across a variety of culinary styles and service environments. She ultimately found her passion as an in-house private chef serving the University of Georgia sorority community while also building a successful private catering business.

Together, we bring more than 20 years of business management experience, along with a proven history of working together in previous ventures. Our shared goal is to bring fresh, flavorful, and convenient meals to the community we proudly call home.
